Terms of Service

PurpleChipMonk is a subscription product that helps individual job-seekers find, qualify, and pursue roles. We surface roles we think fit your career, write fitment assessments, draft outreach and resume edits you can review, and track pipeline state over time. We are not a recruiter, a staffing agency, or an employer.

• You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
• Your account is for one person — yours. Don't share login credentials.
• Keep your password reasonable; you're responsible for activity on your account.
• If you discover unauthorized access, email us immediately and we'll help you secure things.

• The current price is $29 per month, billed via Stripe.
• Subscriptions auto-renew until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from inside the product; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• We may change pricing in the future. If we do, we'll give active subscribers at least 30 days' notice by email, and the change won't apply to the current billing period.
• Refunds are handled case-by-case. Email us if something went wrong and we'll work it out fairly.

• Use the service for someone else's job search without their knowledge or consent.
• Scrape, mirror, reverse-engineer, or build a competing product on top of PurpleChipMonk.
• Submit content that isn't yours to submit, or that violates someone else's rights.
• Attempt to overload, exploit, or otherwise abuse the infrastructure.
• Use the service for anything illegal under United States or Illinois law.

If you do, we may suspend or terminate your account without a refund.

PurpleChipMonk's fitment assessments, draft messages, and weekly reads are computed by software, including a large language model (Claude, from Anthropic). They are advisory. They are sometimes wrong. You are the one applying for the job, sending the message, and accepting (or rejecting) the offer — those decisions are yours.

We do not guarantee that you will get interviews, offers, or any specific outcome. The product is provided on an "as is" basis, without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PurpleChipMonk's total liability to you for any claim arising out of or related to the service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid PurpleChipMonk in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) $100. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages — including lost opportunities, lost income, or hurt feelings.

You can stop using the service at any time. You can delete your account from inside the product or by emailing us; we'll remove your data per the Privacy Policy. We may terminate or suspend an account that violates these terms, with a refund of any unused prepaid time if the violation wasn't serious.

If we change these terms in a way that materially affects you, we'll update the date at the top of this page and notify active subscribers by email at least 30 days before the change takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the updated terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute that can't be resolved informally will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Cook County, Illinois.
